This position owns sustaining engineering of LitePoint products from its production launch to the end of life. Ideal candidate is a seasoned technical manager able to effectively close
system level issues with mindset of continuous product and process performance improvement.
Sustaining Engineering Manager is expected to b
e focal point and lead driving efficient closure to all technical and procedural sustaining issues of LitePoint’s product lines. This includes identifying issues and opportunities, defining correction path, its implementation, and more importantly close loop communication to all relevant stakeholders.
Building a technical team capable of identifying and driving closure to all design and process issues aiming toward customer satisfaction, factory efficiencies, and last but not the least, desired cost improvements.
Recruit and develop technical team with an end goal of removing and minimizing R&D dependencies once products are launched into pilot and subsequent production to its end of life.
Responsible for technical detective work and quick recovery from all product related issues. This requires making, driving, qualifying, and effectively releasing design, parts, and process changes.
Develop, Maintain, and improve, Factory and field quality processes.
Factory and field training of new products and processes.
Technical interface to resolve supplier and customer issues.
Owns factory and field performance monitoring, automated reporting, and the regular status updates, and its presentation to the team.
Develops effective feedback mechanism within LitePoint community to ensure proactive improvements.
Work and collaborate with corporate quality resources and ensure LitePoint products meeting all of the required regulatory and compliance requirements.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
Skills and knowledge that are necessary for the performance of the job, i.e. Degree & area of study, computer skills, technical knowledge, required abilities, areas and number of years of related experience, etc.
Technical experience: in-depth knowledge of RF microwave testing and trouble shooting from System level to Component level to Root Cause. Requires Solid technical engineering/manufacturing management experience, effective communication skills, self-motivation; with strong analytical and planning skills. We are looking for a disciplined leader with the technical, organizational, leadership and people management skills to achieve our traditional high quality, productivity and efficiency goals. Be capable and adaptable to changes in priorities based on business needs.
Requires a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline plus a minimum of ten years of related technical management experience including prior experience in a supervisory/leadership role. RF product knowledge is a must.
Ideal candidate comes from the wireless test and measurement industry, or the wireless handset industry.
Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities required.
A persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with detective nature of activities.
