Senior Manufacturing Engineer

This person contributes to Coinstar's success by improving the methods, processes, and quality for assemblies procured by Coinstar and/or remanufactured by Coinstar as well as working closely with Design Engineering on effective hardware design of such assemblies.

Summary of Key Responsibilities :
  • Plans or improves productions methods including production flow, tooling, assembly methods and production equipment
  • Estimates productions times and optimum staffing for production schedules
  • Investigates and resolves work-in-process problems
  • Monitors assigned operations to assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards
  • Reviews proposals from vendors regarding the purchase or new or the moderation of existing production/processing equipment
  • Interfaces with LOB engineering and suppliers to coordinate implementation of new parts
  • Interfaces with Configuration to ensure implementation of design changes at suppliers and internal manufacturing
  • Submits and coordinates manufacturing changes for suppliers and internal manufacturing
  • Performs first article inspections and provides guidance on receiving inspection plans
Qualifications & Experience :
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
  • PCB and Electromechanical Assembly
  • Understand Electronic soldering
  • Handling multiple, detail-oriented, time sensitive projects in a high paced environment
  • Must be passionate about quality and customer satisfaction
  • Previous experience in handling multiple, detail-oriented, time sensitive projects in a high-paced nvironment
  • Solid understanding of logistics and the process's and procedures related to purchasing
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds
  • Mid level experience with MS Word, Project and Excel
