As a result of our successful project awards, our Pipelines group is rapidly expanding. Therefore, HMM is seeking qualified staff to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
-10 to 15 years of pipeline field engineering experience in one or more of the following project types: natural gas pipeline, facilities, liquids, transmission, gathering, midstream and treatment.
-Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering or the equivalent is preferred, but not mandatory depending on related experience.
-Strong project management, QA/QC, coordination, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and technical skills are required.
-Proficiency in the following skills required: pipeline route, workspace, access and site selection; constructability; proposed construction methods for highway/road, railroad, wetland, water body, utility, and other challenging crossings.
-Construction management, inspection, engineering, and survey coordination skills preferred.
-Professional certification or designation would be an asset.
-Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise.
-Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places with a full range of motion and flexibility is required.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
-Produce high-quality work that meets the requirements of company policies, procedures, industry standards, and client expectations
-Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered and take corrective actions as needed.
-Read and understand plans and specifications and have the ability to visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions.
-Develop complete understanding of contract drawings and specifications.
-Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and research drawings for preparation of a Request For Information.
-Perform quantity take-offs from drawings for purchasing of materials or for planning and scheduling work.
-Perform quantity surveys of excavated or installed materials for purpose of progress and productivity.
-Prepare as-built drawings to include field measurements and drafting.
-Write requisitions and purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to expedite deliveries.
