The Senior Recruiting Specialist is responsible for ensuring recruiting success throughout the organization (FFRDC, IPR, and Corporate). This position will play a critical role in ensuring CNA is hiring the best possible talent through effective, efficient processes and strategies, while remaining compliant with the OFCCP. This will be achieved through partnerships with hiring managers and leadership to understand and report on recruiting goals and accomplishments; and developing, managing and executing recruiting plans (including employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas).


Partner with hiring managers to understand the business unit/division/department profile, goals, and talent requirements, then translate those business requirements into successful recruitment solutions.
Identify and recruit the best and most diverse talent in the marketplace through proactive market intelligence processes.
Provide accurate and inspiring value proposition to potential candidates about CNA and the specific role.
Evaluate and screen candidates against hiring manager requirements; and prepare background profiles for evaluation.
Follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness and status of recruiting plans for each position.
Apply best practices in the candidate selection process that maximizes long term employment success.
Develop and maintain strong internal relationships and external recruiting sources to create a partnership that yields long term success, credibility, and contributes to a healthy pipeline of talent.
Develop a network with industry contacts, universities, associations, and trade groups to identify and source qualified talent.
Attend career fairs and information sessions to source candidates throughout the year.
Leverage the internet, social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates, and research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Engage and contribute to development of creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
Partner with Director of Human Resources to understand and incorporate long term strategies into recruitment plan.
Manage and regularly report on program effectiveness and efficiency through metrics and open requisition reports.
Coordinate recruitment support, relocation program, search firm contract review and development, and new hire on-boarding requirements with other members of the HR team.
Ensure OFCCP compliance requirements are met.
Perform other special projects and duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or related field required. PHR certification is a plus.
Experience: Must have a minimum of eight years of experience in professional level recruiting. Experience recruiting for positions within the government contracting arena is strongly preferred. Must also have experience using a variety of online recruitment tools and be a proficient user of applicant tracking systems.
Skills: Must have demonstrated capability performing full life-cycle recruiting; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines; strong problem-solving and consultative skills with ability to be solutions-oriented; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point (Access and SharePoint preferred); strong organizational, interpersonal and listening skills; ability to use quantitative skills to create weekly reports and meaningful metrics to measure and track progress against recruiting goals.
Other: Must be able to travel occasionally throughout the year to attend career fairs and other off-site recruiting activities.
