DUTIES: Perform WAN and LAN IP network service infrastructure design and engineering; design, develop and implement LAN networks and Cisco routing and switching protocols including open shortest path first (OSPF) and border gateway protocol (BGP) in a telecommunications connectivity configuration environment and hands-on knowledge of Genesys contact center products; perform infrastructure component product research, analysis, tracking, mounting and cabling of laboratory network test equipment; develop network test plans, document technical configuration, perform lab testing, consult field implementation and perform ongoing administration and support; conduct network laboratory set-up, experimentation and certification of multi-vendor switching, routing and security devices; author network service installation and operations documentation; troubleshoot and support the hosting network services; gather, analyze and translate business requirements into system and technology design specifications; design and develop network topologies; specify detailed device configuration directives to software engineers to develop automated fault management and provisioning tools.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 6 months experience designing, developing and implementing LAN networks and Cisco routing and switching protocols including open shortest path first (OSPF) and border gateway protocol (BGP) in a telecommunications connectivity configuration environment and hands-on knowledge of Genesys contact center products.
