As a Senior Systems Analyst for Commercial Business Intelligence (BI) North America (NA) , you will be responsible for supporting our Field Sales, Inside Sales, Field Service, Service Call Centers, and Marketing business partners in North America. As senior Systems Analyst you must have a background in business application development showing progressive responsibilities including on call support, bug fixes, new enhancement development, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation. You need solid experience in business process analysis and verbal and written communications are desired. You must be competent to work at the highest technical level with the interpersonal skills to interact with senior business partners. The key roles and responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Performs support of production applications by responding to support desk calls, tracking problems/issues, and following up with customers. Performs upgrades to packaged & internally developed business systems using specific technical knowledge including but not limited to Business Intelligence / Datawarehouse, SAP Business Objects, MS Reporting Services, MS Analysis Server /Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) / ETL, and MS SQL Server 2008
Defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Assist in providing estimates of task effort and resource / skills needed.
Gathers, analyzes and documents business and functional requirements. Translate needs of the business, such as those expressed in user Service Requests, into applicable system design solutions via prototyping, and configuration. Set and influence cross-divisional strategies and business processes. Experienced in the development and maintenance of dimensional data models i.e. customized data marts specific to the reporting requirements of a business area is required. In addition experience in the development of operational and analytical reports to pull together data from multiple data sources based on user requirements is required.
Maintains system request status and customer communication for those requests. Documents systems and provides regular feedback on project task status to customers, peers and IM/IT management.
Performs development, configuration, testing and implementation of application solutions according to ROCHE Development Standards and Practices, including packaged & internally developed business systems.

7+ years experience with previous business application system implementations
Knowledge of application systems development methodology. The ability to analyze, design, implement, and support applications
Knowledge of Computer Systems Validation or equivalent “Best Practices”.

Knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and problem solving abilities
Knowledge of analysis and design techniques
