The senior account coordinator, internal communications/community relations will develop, coordinate and implement communications that affect associates as well as develop communications to support community relations activities and events. Specifically, the senior account coordinator, internal communications/community relations is responsible for writing and editing internal communications, plus coordination of a robust community relations program.
4-year degree in English, communications or related field from an accredited college or university or an associates’ degree with five year experience in communications, public relations or journalism or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
Strong communication (oral and written), writing and event planning skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines
Exhibits initiative and creativity
Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization.
Proficient in PC/Windows, with advanced Microsoft Word skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Local travel required. Any Independent Health associate who uses a motor vehicle in the course of their duties representing Independent Health must be compliant with New York State Motor Vehicle laws and must follow the Policy that pertains to Driver’s License Requirements as a condition of employment.
