This position is responsible for upholding Cargill processes related to the qualification and contracting of new transportation service provider (carriers) and implementing changes to drive efficiencies. This includes: working with Cargill team members and carriers to prepare, collect and review documentation, review Cargill policies and assist in the resolution of issues/ discrepancies and maintain carrier data (such as rates and insurance) in various computer systems.
You will participate in special projects such as working with the mode team on the yearly RFP's (request for proposals), training new team members, collecting and presenting data for analysis and collaborating with others to develop and implement process improvements within the department.
45% - Problem resolution: helping Carrier Compliance and Freight Payables groups resolve issues and complex system problems. Make recommendations for process changes.
35% - Responsible for carrier qualification, documentation and contract administration (including creation of contract and appendices as well as maintenance of carrier contract files). Periodically review all carrier files to ensure compliance with Cargill standards.
20% - Lead improvement projects within Carrier Compliance; develop new ways to accomplish work within our group. Collaborate with other groups to work more efficiently.
Relocation will not be provided for this position.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an office setting
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, specifically in Excel and Word
Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities
Strong math & reasoning skills
Desire to work in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
Proven attention to detail and organizational skills
Associates or Bachelors degree with focus in Accounting or Business
Experience with: MS Access, JDE, CASS, Sterling, SAP
