Description

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics that will support internal clients in their decisions by gathering and analyzing data using advanced analytics (e.g., optimization, exploratory clustering) and data mining techniques and tools. This individual will also be responsible for delivering high quality innovative statistical and analytical modeling to the business; this spans design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring and support of those models. Utilizing their statistical modeling and advanced analytic skills to address specific business problems or discover valuable insights in large datasets, this individual will play a key role in informing business decisions.

Responsibilities:
Utilize advanced analytic and quantitative tools, statistical/predictive modeling techniques, and data mining procedures and tools to derive business insights and solve complex business problems

Structure and conduct analyses to generate recommendations and inform business decisions

Develop presentations for senior management, in various departments, that communicate key insights and recommend action

Make use of the data to identify and understand customer segments and their behaviors

Identify factors affecting customer conversion and retention, and recommend customers for effective conversion and retention campaigns

Clearly distill complex analytical research into understandable and actionable recommendations

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

3-5 years of business experience using analytics to drive business/marketing results, preferably within the payment processing industry

Preferred Qualifications

Exceptional numerical and statistical ability, with experience using statistical software packages such as SAS and R, and database software packages such as SQL

Expertise with Microsoft Office tools

Strong familiarity with analytical techniques and the ability to execute analytic projects utilizing modeling, statistics, optimization, exploratory clustering, and other advanced concepts

Ability to derive concise marketing and strategy insights from large amounts of data from diverse sources

Excellent problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail

Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical business executives

Demonstrated ability to develop and apply information-driven analytic approaches to solve critical business questions in a practical manner with tangible results

Ability to meet deadlines, while managing several project

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

Expertise with multivariate statistical analysis including such areas as regression, logistic regression, cluster analysis, time series, and latent class modeling

Demonstrated ability and comfort in recommending and communicating insights to senior level executives

Advanced certifications that validate skills
