This role will help optimize $60M in direct mail spend by using various tools (e.g., response models, LTV models), in-market tests and analyses. Responsibilities may include: 1) Maintains, extracts and analyzes marketing data from databases and other sources in order to address business information needs, 2) Performs statistical analysis of marketing data, and organizes and presents findings, 3) Develops complex, high-visibility direct marketing campaigns through partnership with other departments, develop data segmentation strategies that drive marketing campaigns, and ensure test and learn techniques are properly executed, and 4) Takes the lead to manage moderately complex research or analytic projects that involve multiple team members.
Partners with marketing research and marketing professionals to understand information needs and the challenges of the business.
Integrates quantitative data from many diverse areas.
Develops detailed specifications or enhancements for database tools that address business information priorities.
Develops complex queries to extract data.
Performs statistical analysis using techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, choice-based conjoint, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and data mining.
May develop complex, high-visibility direct marketing campaigns through partnership with other departments, utilizing marketing tools and applications; develop data segmentation strategies that drive marketing campaigns, and ensures test and learn techniques are properly executed, including test cell structure and sample size calculations.
Organizes and presents findings regarding market trends, competitive intelligence, customer preferences, and market penetration strategies; makes recommendations to address issues.
Takes the lead to manage moderately complex research or analytic projects that involve multiple team members.
Helps execute key projects for the Marketing Analytics org that will significantly impact SBU results.
Presents work to senior leaders in Marketing, Distribution and Product.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, with 5 years related experience. Advanced business degree preferred.
Experience with primary, secondary, and database analysis research methodologies.
Experience using SPSS or SAS statistical program to perform analysis.
Experience in database querying tools, strong proficiency in PC based spreadsheets and knowledge of SQL desirable. .
Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving, and project management skills.
