Engineering Technical Group
Provide marketing support to sales and proposal activities. Prepare detailed and timely budget and firm price proposals. Communicate and work with project managers and other departments to obtain information to prepare accurate estimate and offers. Interface with customers, engineering department, manufacturing representatives and Operations Department. Provide support in sales material and proposal preparation. Prepare assigned elements of proposals including labor, time and equipment cost estimations. Help coordinate review of customer RFQ’s and specifications with departments within Wahlco to provide accurate and cost effective equipment offerings and proposals Develop and maintain key customer contacts Effectively communicate with sales representatives to develop new opportunities. Review customer specifications to determine equipment offering, technical and commercial clarifications and exceptions. Develop engineering cost estimates in support of existing and new NH3 and other products, including vendor selection and utilization of other resources. Develop and maintain NH3 estimating data base. Assist in follow up on existing proposals Maintain cost data base. Perform preliminary engineering, including single lines, PFD’s and P&I Diagrams. Perform engineering analysis for a variety of technical problems concerning products. Utilize analytical techniques and computer modeling to develop solutions to problems. Assist product managers and sales engineers in technical presentations for clients. Expected travel, 20% for site visits, trade shows, conventions, marketing presentations at customers’ locations. Support and follow ISO 9001 Operations Requirements.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
Five years prior experience working with technical customers.
