The Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Sr. BSA) is responsible for supporting, enhancing and the overall subject matter expert for projects related to the recently upgraded Learning Management System (Saba) that is leveraged across the organization globally. This role will require a previous track record of success acting as the liaison between IT and the rest of organization, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience, and an ability to understand and interpret business requirements.
The Sr. BSA has accountability for architecting and implementing solutions that improve business process efficiencies and effectiveness. The Sr. BSA is an Internal Consultant that has the domain expertise to advise the business on process and systems improvements. Solutions could include business process improvement, systems development, organizational change or policy development.
The Sr. BSA will report in to the IT team and will be closely aligned with the Leadership & Development team and its members, collaborating closely with both groups to successfully deliver results. The person in this role will serve as a mentor and trainer to junior level staff members.
Primary tasks for this role will include the following:
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business processes in the area of Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Lead efforts to reengineer business process to optimize processes as it relates to the LMS
Lead, identify, design and implement enabling information systems with a strong bias to configuration of commercially available off the shelf systems
Empower users and super-users (by training and performing knowledge transfer) to leverage the LMS and other IT systems for business process automation and optimization
Lead and manage small to medium sized projects / enhancements pertaining to the LMS and related systems
Serve as liaison between business process owners in Business Units, Functional Groups, Regions and IT
Work with stakeholders in developing ROI based business cases for enhancements and small projects
Required Education, Skills, Experience and Preferred Experience Education:
Bachelor’s degree in science or related field
Master's degree in computer science or related field is preferred

Participate in project communications, training materials, and business procedures/documentation Responsible for user acceptance testing, may be responsible for management and completion of quality assurance testing Support and/or facilitate business user systems training as needed
Prior experience acting as the liaison between IT and rest of organization, with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience, and an ability to understand and interpret business requirements.
Strong working knowledge in SABA 5.5x or other enterprise Learning Management Solution
Extensive working experience of enterprise database structures and query languages such as Oracle, and MSSQL
Experience working in complex, matrixed environments
Prior experience working in complex global business environment
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a Business Systems Analysis role
Experience managing small to medium size IT projects
Manage the training data from the Learning Management System related to the monthly report.
Ensure stringent internal process control, and propose improvements in all learning processes and practices.
Assist in conducting accurate and timely month / quarterly metrics.
Assist in preparing reconciliation of key learning data.
Assist in working with global locations on training reporting matters.
Develop and deliver functional/system specifications and user-training documents.
Provide test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and assure proper user acceptance testing of completed projects
Provide new user training on supported applications as requested
Help business users in identifying data needs and develop reports.
Strong working knowledge of enterprise information systems including ERP (such as JDE, SAP), PLM (TeamCenter, Agile), MES (such as CAMSTAR, APRISO, etc), CRM (such as Seibel, Salesforce.com) APS (such as JDA, Manugistics, i2, SAP), and QMS (such as Pilgrim, TrackWise, Master Control) is preferred
Experience with Good Manufacturing/Good Documentation Practices (GxP) processes is a plus
Experience with FDA guidelines for Software Quality and Systems Validation is a plus
