We are currently seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst / Compensation Manager for our Denver Corporate Offices. Reporting to the Director of HR-Comp and Benefits this role will provide compensation guidance and support to the organization.
Job Duties / Functions
Researches, evaluates and recommends pricing and placement of internal jobs into salary structures. Performs complex data analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Serves as an internal subject matter expert on compensation matters. Advises all levels of management on policies and practices related to compensation.
Executes major project initiatives, including automation projects, the annual merit, short term- and long-term incentive cycles, annual salary survey participation, due diligence in support of company’s annual salary policy recommendations, salary adjustment and promotion recommendations. Develops project plans, monitors progress toward on-time completion, and prepares standard and ad hoc reports.
Serves as systems administrator for applications/systems related to the administration of merit & incentive plans, market pricing, etc. Supports HR Information Systems efforts related to compensation. Performs advanced analysis and management of data.
Critical thinking skills with an ability to act as a consultant to business leaders as they evaluate business options
Keeps abreast of external compensation best practices.
Build and maintain strong internal relationships.
Conduct custom compensation surveys with key industry contacts as required.
Use quantitative/statistical tools to create compensation models. Ability to systematically work through issues and use best practice methodologies to develop alternative solutions.
Detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the big picture.
Ability to create tools and models to interpret and analyze data.
Qualifications / Experience
Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
HRIS experience, including maintaining data, uploading data files, advanced report writing.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain discretion and work with sensitive/confidential subject matter required.
Highly organized with an ability to turn data into information.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or HR related field or commensurate experience
Five to seven years experience in compensation design and analysis
Extensive knowledge of compensation best practices
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Advanced analytical, problem solving, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
Experienced at implementation of complex global compensation models
Experience with short term incentive and equity schemes
Familiar with ADP is strongly preferred
