Responsible for creating and coordinating workflow. Acts as a liaison with other departments to investigate and resolve membership data integrity discrepancies. Coordinates the functions that need to occur between both internal and external clients for any eligibility inquires. Creates and maintains spreadsheets for departmental reporting purposes and other specialized reporting. Responsible for identifying errors with the Intranet/Internet processes and implement solutions to service our internal and external. Responsible for identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to enhance department efficiencies. Assists in the training for EAS representatives. Assists the manager in supervising the staff in the absence of an EAS manager. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: Associates degree preferred. Equivalent amount of education and related experience may be considered.
Minimum Experience: Prior enrollment/billing/eligibility office experience required. 1-2 years experience in a health care or insurance office preferred.
" Computer experience and keyboarding skills required.
" Strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills required.
" Demonstrated experience with continuous process improvement/process re-engineering.
" MS Word and Excel experience in creating and updating documents with basic formulas required.
" Familiarity with healthcare benefits and/or medical terminology.
" Experience in positions where adherence to strict confidentiality is required.
" Must be able to work independently.
" MS Access experience is preferred
" Previous experience training new employees preferred.
