We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. TM1 Analyst within FP&A to help drive the scale out and sustainability of the enterprise planning and analytics environment. This role is focused on the development, administration and support for Cognos TM1 applications and the related financial planning and analysis processes they support. There will be constant focus on data integrity, process optimization, automation, performance-tuning and increasing end-user adoption/satisfaction. While the ideal skillset would include a financial background and prior Cognos TM1 and Enterprise Planning experience, experience with comparable technologies from SAP, Oracle, etc. will be considered. This could be a fantastic opportunity for that consultant looking to get off the road, or for that corporate FP&A systems professional looking for the next great opportunity.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Key team member in the development and implementation of large-scale planning & analysis initiatives serving a spectrum of cross-functional groups.
•Plays a role in the development and implementation of Illumina’s planning and analysis strategic roadmap
•Development of new TM1 applications from requirements gathering through go-live
•Provides insight to management on status and issues, serves as a resource to escalate issues, and will provide issues resolution and trouble-shooting support
•Supports rolling forecasting and budgeting processes around order and shipment demand, COGS, labor, cap ex, and other similar financial and operational planning processes.
•Build and maintain positive relationships with key business users and exhibit a solid understanding of basic business concepts and practices.
•Design and test assigned applications both as stand-alone and as integrated modules and take responsibility for the applications as a central point-of-contact.
•Implementation of automation and performance enhancing strategies
•Performs system changes required to support budget and forecast cycle rollover
•Process and validate day to day data loads, manage user rights, and monitor system environment for optimal performance.
•Ongoing maintenance, security administration, technical support, and training.
•The ideal candidate will have background combining technical, as well as financial and analytical expertise and proficiency.
•Must have completed multiple planning and reporting implementations using structured project methodologies and tools that support requirements, design, development, validation, deployment and training.
•Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is required.
•Thorough understanding of Cognos TM1, Enterprise Planning or comparable Planning/OLAP technology including development and maintenance of complex models required.
•Database skills and/or strong Excel modeling skills, including TM1 Perspectives preferred.
•Prior experience with Cognos BI; particularly integration of TM1/Planning data into BI, would be a great plus
•Must have solid communication (presentation/verbal/written) and organizational skills
•Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar
•MBA, CMA or other advanced degree preferred
•Cognos Certifications a plus
