Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst for North America will be a
key member of both the VP Americas operational team as
well as the Mining Division Finance team and will
support the achievement of the region’s strategic and
financial objectives. Working closely both key Finance
and Operational partners, this role will support
determination of NPV based ROI’s for regional projects,
ensure overall alignment to Regional and Divisional
strategies, and prioritize based on ROI and the
available budget. This person will play a key role in
teeing up critical funding decisions for management and
articulating impact of competing investment priorities.
Additionally, this role provides a varying level of
financial information and ad-hoc analytics to
operational business partners aimed at reinforcing a
culture of fiscal discipline aligned to overall regional
and divisional strategic and fiscal goals. The role will
also support the region’s financial and KPI reporting
and forecasting processes, applying strong business
acumen and analytics to ensure variance analytics
support achievement of strategic goals.

Job Duties:
  • Support and coordinate preparation of a variety of
regional financial reports, analysis, and
communications for Regional and Divisional reporting
to management and senior executives
  • Lead core elements of the Regional financial
planning process resulting in spending forecasts and
budgets for future periods
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators with
appropriate variance analysis and support of
resulting action plans
  • Identify and contribute to change and improvement of
ESCO’s financial and management reporting tools and
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close activities to
report results using variance and trend analyses
  • Identify and complete ad-hoc analytics as needed to
support achievement of financial goals including
regional business cases, ad-hoc projects, and
Division level Break Through Objectives (BTO’s) and
reinforce fiscal discipline across areas represented
by both the income statement and the balance sheet

Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting with 5-7 years of
Finance experience or an MBA with 1-2 years of
Finance experience demonstrating the competencies
listed below is required
  • Strong MS Excel skills are required
  • Familiarity with Oracle and SAP BPC is desired
  • CMA certification a plus
  • Must have the unrestricted legal right to work in
the U.S.
