ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Human Resources is charged with ensuring that Express Scripts effectively manages and supports its human capital investment. Key day-to-day responsibilities include supporting human resources needs, including staffing, policy development and employee relations; driving improvements in employee satisfaction and diversity awareness; providing training and organizational development; and overseeing benefit and compensation plans.
Independently work with line leaders to facilitate the planning and delivering of various HR programs and services and provide skillful coaching and consultative HR support to the designated business unit. Proactively identifies opportunities to drive effective HR solutions to the business, build leader capability, deepen workforce capability and anchor positive employee relations practices.
Independently provide coaching and consulting to managers and employees in the areas of performance management, performance counseling, compensation, employee retention, talent planning, leader development, employee development, positive employee relations practices, policy interpretation and implementation, conflict resolution, legal/contractual requirements, and managing cultural integration.
Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with the management team of assigned client groups. Proactively identify issues before they affect productivity and turnover. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned business groups.
Understand business cycles and staffing needs of the organization to develop human capital strategies to build the capability of the workforce to meet business goals. Assist in managing recruiting and staffing initiatives, counsel line managers in final selections and compensation, consult with leaders for talent planning and career development.
Independently manage human capital strategies for a business group.
Disseminate and facilitate HR and OD training resources to Front Line Leadership to assist them in adherence as it relates to standardization of policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5-8 years relevant experience or Masters degree with 3-5 years relevant experience.
Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HRIS systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
Good judgment and problem solving skills.
Advanced knowledge experience with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employment (for example, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, EEOC Uniform Guidelines).
The ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and keep issues confidential is critical to this position. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that changes rapidly to fit the needs of the organization.
Ability to interact with line staff through executive leadership in a professional manner.
