The Sr. Institutional Research Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting data to improve the quality and efficiency of information available to decision makers for planning, evaluation, program review, quality improvement, cost containment and effective management. A major thrust of this position is to manage enrollment data reporting which includes requesting or writing SQL programs and using databases and statistical software packages. Central to all functions is an understanding of data management, data reporting, higher education institutional research trends, and the application of information technology and institutional research to problem solving. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research and works closely with others in the Office of Institutional Research.

Requirements:
Master’s degree/3 years of full-time work experience in institutional research or applied research in higher education or experience in assessment and statistical analysis, or equivalent experience/excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills/applied research experience/demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively/ability to convey complicated data and complex statistical results as organized and easily understandable data/ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision/ ability to work effectively on a team on diverse assignments/ability and desire to acquire new knowledge and skills independently/proficiency in SPSS (or equivalent) and Excel/ ability to use relational databases (such as Access)/ experience manipulating large amounts of data/applied knowledge of statistics and data reporting skills/knowledge of research and survey design/knowledge of Oracle, SQL, ARGOS and Banner desired/knowledge and experience with Dashboards desired.

The approximate starting salary range is $48,000 - $52,335.
