The

Senior IT Manager – Security and Connectivity is responsible for managing IT personnel in ensuring the integration and deployment of network security within the organization and facilitation of secure service delivery support to the company.
Primary Duties:
  • Supervises staff and provides leadership, training, mentoring, coaching, and direction
  • Leads the design and operation of related compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance with both internal policies and applicable laws/regulations
  • Develops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure
  • Monitors company networks to identify and prevent unauthorized use and potential security breaches from both internal and external sources
  • Ensures controls are in place to monitor threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation
  • Performs information security risk assessments
  • Assesses risk pertaining to networks, operating systems, and applications and provides remediation plans and support where appropriate
  • Reviews violations of information security policies and procedures and ensures mechanisms are in place to remediate
  • Ensures monitoring of the network environment is in place to aide in availability and capacity planning
  • Supports business initiatives by designing and implementing network solutions
  • Educates peers, user communities, and support personnel by communicating security requirements, solutions and procedures
  • Develops, maintains, monitors, supports, and optimizes key technologies to advance delivered services to best serve business requirements
  • Participates as a leader in setting near and long term technology strategies
  • Leads the teams in major projects and initiatives by managing teams and monitoring/reporting progress
  • Interfaces with IT and OHL management to ensure effective communications on projects, major initiatives, and as a consultative resource
  • Creates, applies, and requires the gathering and reporting of key metrics

Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum 4 years experience in managing a technical team
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years experience in a system support role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification
  • Experience with security practices of Intranet and Extranet
  • Experience with ISO/IEC 27000 series standards, including certification against ISO/IEC 27000
  • Minimum CCNA level of networking knowledge and experience
  • Experience with QoS for LANs and WANs, Intrusion Detection solutions, SolarWinds Orion products, Cisco IP-Telephony, Design/Architectural Networks, and Linux/Unix/Apple/Microsoft Server
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention, vulnerability management, change management, and information security principles and practices including SOX and PCI requirements
  • Knowledge of 3 rd party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management is preferred
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
