Sr. Manager / Director, Marketing Cloud Sales Strategy & Operations
Location: San Francisco, CA

The Sr. Manager will play a critical role in the Marketing Cloud Sales Strategy and Operations group, a team that acts as the Marketing Cloud’s internal consulting and analytics arm. The selected candidate will share responsibility for driving the continued success of Marketing Cloud in global markets. The Sr. Manager will be accountable for identifying and reporting on key indicators of sales performance and market opportunity, using those findings to set the strategic agenda for the sales group, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders. Projects will include business planning, market segmentation, pipeline analysis, coverage optimization, and ongoing performance measurement. Deliverables take the form of strategic recommendations to executives and the operational cadence that drives our growth. This position will focus on driving the strategy and enabling the operations for our Marketing Cloud Agency and Indirect Channel sales businesses.

• Construct an integrated Sales coverage model that optimizes our multiple channels for growth
• Analyze the health of the business and present recommendations to senior management for strategic decision making and investment
• Own the annual and long range sales planning process for the Agency and Channel businesses, seeking to identify untapped market potential and the means to capture it
• Identify, analyze, and interpret key indicators of demand generation performance, pipeline management, and deal lifecycle management
• Work cross-functionally to assist in the development of go-to-market strategies for new geographies and market segments
• Drive rigorous sales execution and oversight, ensuring accurate forecasts and total transparency
• Design and interpret key performance metrics, and craft plans to address pronounced weakness
• Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of Sales

Desired Skills/Experience:
• 6- 8+ years working in a management consulting-type environment
• Expert in quantitative analysis, Excel and logical reasoning; experience using databases for analysis
• Strong creativity and innovation in discovering actionable results and strategies
• Excellent content creation and succinct communication skills - speaking, writing and PowerPoint
• Creativity in developing actionable recommendations for presentation to senior management
• Extremely strong executive presentation and engagement skills
• Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
• Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment
• Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; sense of urgency
• MBA degree from top tier school preferred
