Position Summary/Key objectives : Provide manufacturing support through various manufacturing engineering disciplines to insure products are manufactured in accordance with proper processes, methods and routings, performed in a cost effective manner. Act as one of manufacturing engineering contacts for day to day production problem solving and communicate needs, problems, and results to the Manufacturing Manager, manufacturing staff, and corporate engineering staff as needed.
Skills/Experience required/preferred: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. Thorough working knowledge of blueprints including geometric tolerancing, metallurgy, manufacturing processes, production equipment capability, tooling, fixture design, product costing, accounting procedures.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques, i.e. cellular manufacturing, CNC processes, robotics and world-class/lean manufacturing concepts preferred.
