In this role, you will have the opportunity to use the latest automation technology to build test infrastructure, automation framework, and test suites for Android and iOS mobile devices from the ground up.
Collaborate closely with PM, QA, and Development teams to identify the best strategy to build full functional test suites, regression, and smoke tests.
Add new automated test cases and modify the existing ones as product requirements change.
Configure and maintain a continuous build integration system (Hudson/Jenkins) to deliver instant result visibility to the project stakeholders.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver Evernote’s mobile applications on the Android and iOS platforms.
Use feedback from customer support to expand test scenarios.
Research, identify, reproduce, isolate and report defects.
Verify resolved defects against all applicable environments.
Provide input/status updates regarding test progress/results on a daily basis.
Provide comprehensive release assessments and quality sign-off.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical major, Computer Science strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of Android and/or iOS platform fundamentals.
7+ years of hands-on test automation experience (including any combination of Windows, Mac, Web, mobile, or server back-end automation).
1+ years of developing automated tests for mobile devices preferred (either iOS or Android).
Experience setting up test frameworks from the ground up highly desirable.
Solid knowledge of one or more of Robotium, TestDroid, Perfecto Mobile, DeviceAnywhere, Frank, FoneMonkey, MonkeyTalk, Selenium, QTP, or similar modern test automation tools.
Experience designing and running stress, load, and performance tests on mobile devices.
Working knowledge of Java (sufficient to create efficient JUnit-style tests).
Familiarity with Agile software development release lifecycle, source code management, and defect management methodologies.
Must be able to handle multiple projects at once; work in a focused, fast-paced team environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
