Job Requirements:
The Sr. Product Manager - Cooling will lead and work
with teams to develop strategic product road maps for
current and future products for Allied Air Enterprises,
a subsidiary of Lennox Industries International, and
work in the West Columbia, South Carolina office.
  • Will be responsible to implement new products into
the market. Champions product development and owns
the multi-generational product plan and product road
map.
  • Interact with customers and field sales to gather
and analyze market research.
  • Support engineering to ensure critical features and
benefits are delivered in designs.
  • Provide Product Development Process leadership and
execution.
  • Lead product development teams through product
determination, product concept generation, defining
engineering specs, design, final marketing plan,
including creating business case, competitive
analysis, pricing, positioning, and developing the
selling strategy.
Responsibilities include;
1. Responsible for the effectiveness of the
product development process. Works to
continually improve process to more effectively
flow value of new products to customers as
efficiently as possible.
2. Interacts with the other product managers,
technical writers, and development teams to
define a consistent standard and process to
fully leverage the brand. Leverage best
practices and encourage team-building and
working relationships within and across the
organization.
3. Interact with customers, sales, and industry
resources to stay in tune with the current
market, the competition, new trends, and
changing regulations as the foundation for
driving product line management.
4. Works to understand what drives customer
decision-making in product selection.
5. Requires the ability to travel up to 20%, and
maintain a presence in the market - develop and
maintain strategic customer relationships to
define and refine the product as the basis for
new product development.
6. Attend industry trade shows. Introduce new
products to the market and customers. Responsible
for the continuous improvement of, and
successful implementation of the product
process: the translation of customer input,
product features & benefits, engineering
specifications.

Creates a vision for what the product will be,
and works to inspire the product development
team to translate the vision into reality
without compromise.

Work with engineering teams to validate the
feasibility of aesthetic, performance, and cost
targets of potential new product concepts.

Work with executive management to analyze data
and define overall product strategy.

Provide Product Development Process leadership
and execution. Lead product development teams
through product determination, product concept
generation, defining engineering specs, design,
final marketing plan, including creating
business case, competitive analysis, pricing,
positioning, and developing the selling
strategy.

Prioritize and determine the most effective
projects to invest resources in to execute the
strategy.
12.
Work closely with engineering teams during the
development of products to assure development
timeline stays on schedule while delivering the
full list of features and benefits outlined in
the product specifications.

Work closely with Sales and Marketing to
coordinate all logistics of a product launch
including technical literature such as Manuals,
Instruction sheets, Specification sheets.

Responsible for insuring marketing literature is
developed in support of products; creative
brief, product photography, brochures,
promotions, product bulletins, press releases as
well as website information and training needs.

Works closely with marketing services to set the
strategy for advertising and promotions and the
tracking and analysis of data to determine
effectiveness of marketing strategy. Keep
executive management team and product
development team members updated on project
status – communicates both timeline and
financial budget.
16.
Assures market share and margin gain assumptions
are realized. Analyze data to develop life-cycle
maintenance strategy on existing product lines.
Stays current with technical information
(Engineering changes, Warranty claims, Customer
feedback) with existing product lines. Work with
and coordinates information sharing between
sales, customer service, field technical service
to resolve outstanding problems, close a sale,
or provide better product understanding.
17.
Champion their own personal development; work to
continuously acquire and transfer knowledge,
share best practices, and strengthen internal
teams and individuals to enhance customer and
product support.
18.
Manage the product line share data process.
Develop industry-leading marketing/sales
messages and support materials needed to assist
selling of the product line.
