About the Role and Responsibilities

Location: Lisle, IL

About the Role:

The Consultant will lead enterprise risk assessment and security governance engagements. These responsibilities include reviewing technical controls and security policies as well as performing interviews with client staff. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, countermeasures, security tools, risk and compliance tools, and processes. The Consultant will maintain technical proficiency, sharing knowledge throughout the firm through tool development, template enhancements, methodology enhancements, and by identifying and implementing improvements in existing processes and procedures. The Consultant will mentor other consultants and peers in new techniques, tools and other job skills. The Consultant will need to be available to travel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consulting project activities from client identification through final invoicing
- Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and product deployment
- Required to interface with company and client managers
- Manage and perform HBSS deployments using McAfee ePO and HIPS products
- Create end of engagement reports describing engagement findings and analysis work
- Help develop and maintain intellectual capital within the Professional Services Dept
- Help identify and implement improvements in existing processes and procedures
- Maintain technical proficiency through self-training or formal training
- Help identify and develop new clients and Professional services offerings
- Provide knowledge sharing throughout the Professional services team
- Mentor consultant peers in new techniques, tools and other job skills
- Teach McAfee product training courses
- Helping with update and/or create training course material
- Manage simultaneous projects
- Create Statement of Work/Proposals

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills & Education:

- At least 5 years’ experience with security policy, governance, and risk assessment
- ISO/IEC 27001 and 270002 knowledge
- Experience with NIST standards and practices
- Experience with PCI Report on Compliance assessments
- Experience with performing risk assessments in large scale enterprise environments
- Knowledge of network and application security
- Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery
- Familiar with physical security controls
- Good verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Preferred:

- Hands on experience with networking devices or penetration testing
- Knowledge of CoBIT, HIPAA and ITIL
- PCI QSA Certification
- CISSP Certification
