Electromagnetic modeling using COMSOL.
Controls design and analysis using MATLAB.
Experimentally verify modeling results and controls performance.
Work independently or in cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
Provide technical leadership in applying control systems design and analysis to practical problems in a product development environment.
Support of product development with high-quality execution and achievement of product design, engineering, feasibility/laboratory testing, and verification and validation testing for product development projects under FDA design controls.
Representative of the R&D Group in cross functional activities, providing technical rigor and attention to detail in all engineering
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in electrical engineering, control systems, or a related discipline plus 12-15 years of experience. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
Graduate-level knowledge of control theory and electromagnetics.
Embedded systems programming and LabView experience preferred.
A minimum of three years of design for embedded systems in medical, aerospace, industrial, or other long life-cycle, mission-critical applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to write clear technical descriptions of rationales, designs, observations, conclusions, and implementation instructions.
