Develops sales strategies to achieve membership and revenue targets within the Large Group market. Maintains in-depth knowledge of: regional competition, including products, rates, underwriting guidelines and local/national health care trends. Understands basic field underwriting and risk selection. Acquires and maintains the maximum amount of knowledge about MVP products, lines of business, sales and underwriting guidelines, funding arrangements, ancillary services and internal operational processes. Continuously identifies and builds positive, professional relationships within the Large Group market place and with national brokers/consultants to increase membership and revenue in all of MVP's lines of business. Continuously assesses new group customer circumstances, goals and needs to determine (1) the opportunities for growth of MVP business, and (2) the best MVP sales strategy for the group to ensure success. Meets or exceeds revenue/membership goals individually established each year based on market and/or segment. Continuously tracks, records/reports information and activity related to the prospective groups as required. Ensures that effective enrollment campaigns and activities are organized and conducted with all new group customers. Ensures that the new group set-up in MVP's system is complete, accurate and timely, and checks after the set up has been affected to guarantee no errors have been made in the process. Ensures new group members who are enrolling meet MVP member eligibility requirements. Functions as a member of the Marketing team and actively demonstrates teamwork by assisting with phone calls, walk-in inquiries, mailings, etc. to meet team expectations and deadlines. Promotes MVP by presenting relevant MVP informational materials to businesses and professional organizations within assigned market at every appropriate opportunity. Continuously attends business events and other community organization functions/events to promote MVP and establish contacts in assigned market. Acquires and maintains the appropriate licenses to sell MVP products in the assigned territory, in accordance with company policies. Maintains patient information confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education: BA/BS in business, marketing or related field preferred or equivalent amount of education and related experience required. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of outside business to business sales experience required; ideally in health insurance setting and within the Large Group market. Required Skills: " Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an ethical sales attitude are required. " Computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. " Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills and must demonstrate workplace flexibility; neat, well groomed, professional appearance with a positive, enthusiastic attitude. " Must have reliable car and be willing to do any required travel. " Must possess or obtain within sixty (60) days of date of hire, a New York State Insurance License to sell Life, Accident, and Health coverage. " Must obtain the MVP Medicare Certification Training within 60 days from date of hire, or prior to first sale, whichever comes first. Requirements:
