To be effective the Solutions Designer should have broad exposure to many technologies, a strong development background, experience on multiple hardware and software environments, experience leading multiple projects through the Solution Design process or Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and has usually performed in a variety of different roles in that life cycle. This role also demands strong communication skills and ability to document, share and communicate ideas at all level of the organization including executive staff, business sponsors, and other technical resources.
The Solution Designer is viewed as a technical expert in many categories. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience is Financial Services, Loan Originations and/or Captive Finance. This role should be highly skilled in distributed systems, JAVA/J2EE development, high availability, Webshere Application Server, and System Integrations utilizing SOA methods (J2EE, JMS, JDBC, SQL, BPEL, EJB, XML, & Web Services) using IBM Process Server. Hands on experience in Business Process Management (BPM) leveraging IBM Process Server, Lombardi, IBM WebSphere Business Monitor and IBM WebSphere Integration Developer (6.x, 7.x) highly preferred. Experience in mobile technologies a plus.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent. Advanced degree a plus. PMI certification desired.
10+ years of successful project delivery with a focus on systems design & integration
3+ years as a lead solution designer or lead solution architect
1+ years of experience in BPM (Business Process Management) using IBM WebSphere Process Server Suite and/or Lombardi development tools including IBM WebSphere Business Monitor (4.x and/or 6.x, 7x) and IBM WebSphere Integration Developer (6.x, 7.x)
Hands-on expertise in process discovery, modeling, monitoring, optimization, requirements management and solution design encompassing IBM BPM and SOA technologies.
Strong JAVA/J2EE development skills
Strong development & integration skills leveraging SOA methods and IBM Process Server
Experience in highly available Websphere environments (clustering, load balancing, etc.)
Experience in BlueWorksLive and/or ARIS BPM modeling tools a plus
Should be able to define and articulate various BPM patterns (Human approval patterns, process integration patterns, complex workflow patterns and long running processes)
Familiarity in Information Management (IM), Windows, AIX, DB2, Oracle, systems infrastructure, capacity planning, & disaster recovery
Experience in Document Management systems a plus (EMC ApplicationXtender or Filenet)
Experience in mobile development a plus (Apple & Android)
Experience in captive financial services, loan origination and/or loan servicing strongly desired
Experience in dealer management systems (DMS) a plus.
