Sr. Strategic Phone/Tablet Planner
Job Description: The strategic planner position focuses on partnering and influencing strategic deliverables throughout the organization. The position requires a combination of business acumen, organization savvy, networking capabilities and expertise in certain technical areas. The strategic planner runs certain strategic process, visits customers, and influences his organization via these processes. Activities include running component, ingredient, platform or initiative POPs, competitive analysis, market analysis, and participating in multiple strategic task forces.
Smartphone/Tablet product strategy: Identify key market trends, user needs and drive vision
Establish high level goals and top priorities for each Smartphone/Tablet product and platform
Manage the definition processes: features, schedule, effort / complexity, financial implications
Define detailed SOC landing zones
Close interaction with customers, OEMs/ODMs/ISV, gathering requirements and making sure our products meet market needs
Close engagement with various internal teams - architecture, design, business units, finance to drive an effective definition process
Contribute to Intel-wide strategic processes
The ideal candidate will leverage a combination of excellent business acumen, deep technical knowledge in various SOC and system domains, organizational savvy and proven expertise in driving complex multidisciplinary organizational processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical and ability to present in from of high level management.
BS + 9 yrs. exp.; MS + 6 yrs. exp.; PhD + 4 yrs. exp. in CS/EE, MBA is a plus.
MINIMUM of 7 years of direct smartphone phone experience in senior product planning roles.
Proven understanding of CPU, Tablet & Smartphone ecosystems, technologies and trends including usage models
Minimum 5 years of previous experience in driving strategic planning for a highly visible product line, developing & executing development plans, resource forecasting, schedule optimization & execution. Solid understanding of SOC development methodology and constraints.
Ability to travel both domestically and worldwide
