We're looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team.
Setup and maintain server hardware, network switches and firewalls, out-of-band management, and anything else the data center can throw at you!
Manage scripted OS installs and rebuilds
Streamline Ops with our config management system (we use Chef)
Regular visits to our data center in Ashburn, VA for maintenance work (roughly twice per month)
Utilize our asset management system to keep inventory and system status up to date
Work with the rest of the Operations team to achieve our overall goals
2-5 years of experience with Linux (we use CentOS)
2-5 years experience working with server hardware (we use HP)
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment
Experience with network devices is a plus
Experience with or exposure to any configuration management system not required but is a plus
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, general switch operation, theory, etc.)
Experience working in a data center
