Sr. Systems Support Analyst/Engineer (Job Number: 322241)
The Integrated Systems Group of SAIC has an opening for a Sr. Systems Support Analyst/Engineer for the Mission Programs Division (MPD) located in Columbia, Maryland.
The Sr. System Support Analyst/Engineer will provide Engineering of product-related solutions for various project and operational needs. The Candidate will provide guidance to the government customer in developing, modifying, disseminating, and implementing hardware, software and network configuration management plans.
•Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
•Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
•Review and analyze complex task statements, standards, specifications and other documentation to determine system administration requirements.
•Research and recommend innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks and identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale.
•High School Diploma or equivalent and 20+ years information technology experience in several of the commonly recognized IT disciplines including communications and/or network communications system support, systems administration, network administration, programming, application support, equipment support, customer support, and computer operations. A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline may substitute for 2 years of required experience.
•6+ years experience in leadership positions such as managing programs/projects requiring comprehensive and innovative technical solutions, tracking, leading, and identifying industry trends, technologies, constraints and priorities regarding current and projected IT strategies.
•Within the last 9 years, a minimum of 3 of the following specializations: Linux or Windows Operating systems, Programming Languages, GUIs, Database Management, Storage Architecture and Management, Web Technologies, Software Test and Integration or systems Interfacing.
- Must have Data Flow experience.
•Currently possess a TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
•Bachelors Degree desired.
•MCSE certification desired. All candidates must either be compliant regarding the certification requirements or must obtain the required certification within six months of assignment to the contract.
•Ability to be on-call on a rotating basis either via a pager or a call-in tree.
