Job Description:
Staff Accountant - FASHION INDUSTRY

This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing organization by ensuring that the balance sheet accurately represents the Company’s assets and liabilities. This role will work closely with other departments including the General Ledger team, AP, Fixed Assets, Lease Accounting and Inventory. There’s significant opportunity for career growth as the company continues to grow.

Job Description:
Assist with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure timely reconciliation and review, and ensure all necessary adjustments are reflected in the G/L

Coordinate with cross functional team members to ensure that their respective accounts are reconciled and timely reviewed by team lead

Assist in the establishment of reconciliation templates, procedures, and guidelines as necessary to achieve efficiency while providing the necessary details for analysis/review, audit, tax, and other reporting requirements

Assist in the month-end Balance Sheet Review process

Other ad hoc requests

Requirements:
Degree in accounting, CPA a plus

Mix of public accounting and corporate experience preferred

Prior enterprise software (e.g. Lawson, SAP, Oracle) experience required

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills

Ability to organize work and projects, prioritize and meet deadlines, and complete work in an efficient and accurate manner

Multi-location retail experience and lease accounting is a plus
