Maintaining payroll-related accounts and ensures reconciliation/accuracy of multiple accounts within accounting systems.
Reconciles all payroll related accounts within applicable deadlines.
Develops/prepares payroll accounting status updates, schedules, exhibits and summaries.
Makes recommendations to Payroll Manager for new accounts/revisions in current account structure.
Ensures accuracy/data integrity with regards to accounting treatment of complex payroll transactions.
Performs periodic internal audits of payroll functions/transactions and prepares materials for external and/or internal auditors.
Acts as the primary contact for the Payroll General Ledger and other Payroll Accounting related topics.
Records, analyzes and reconciles the Company’s US and Canada payroll related transactions. Work with third party vendors to ensure payroll tax deposits and related files are transmitted timely and accurately.
Support internal/external business partners with various reporting and analyses. Identify opportunities to enhance department processes, reporting and analysis.
Perform analytical review to ensure proper financial recording.
Provide balance review and reconciliations.
Participate in special projects as requested.
BA/BS degree in Accounting
3 years of professional accounting experience including account reconciliation and Payroll Accounting
FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification), CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
Strong understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel, Word and Access
Verbal, Writing and Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment
Knowledge of Infinium, Oracle, Hyperion and/or Business Objects a plus
