Staff Accountant - Tax

The position will have a start date in Fall 2013.

As a Staff Accountant in our San Jose Tax Department you will be responsible for the following:

Assist in the preparation of federal and state corporate income tax returns for our high technology clients.

Assist in other tax projects relating to our various tax consulting services.

Conduct online tax research.

Accounting work needed for tax returns.

Develop administrative, professional and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze and communicate in a productive and efficient manner.

Work toward completion of CPA certification.

0-1 year experience in tax within a CPA firm.

Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Business or related field (Master degree preferred)

Minimum 3.2 GPA or greater.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products (i.e. Word, Excel).

Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles.

This position requires traveling to client sites that are not always accessible by publictransportation and therefore requires a car.
