PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Prepare and process monthly financial reporting information relating to Holland America Line Corporate Services financial information. Serve as primary accounting contact for operational questions and concerns relating to Corporate operational expenses and related balance sheet accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and process monthly journal entries and schedules to ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and related management analysis.
  • Assist Corporate Operations with operational questions regarding financial reporting, inclusive of monthly variance analysis
  • Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations relating to Corporate Operations, ensuring proper supporting documentation, logging and signature reviews. Research and resolve reconciliation discrepancies to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Follow HAL policies and SOX guidelines relating to journal voucher and balance sheet review.
  • Actively participate in learning HAL utilized software and ad-hoc analysis/problem-solving skills, through on the job performance and HAL training and development sessions. Provide constructive feedback to supervisor for the maintenance of a positive work environment.
  • Participate on special projects/assignments as required.


  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
    • CPA, CMA Certification Eligibility Preferred
    • Strong Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
    • Flexible to Peak Work Requirements
