Staff Design Engineer
This position is for a Senior Logic Design Engineer in the Wireless Connectivity Group. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Bluetooth or similar wireless technologies and be responsible for unit, core or chip level silicon microarchitecture and related front-end design activities. This would include writing specs, developing RTL code, verifying, synthesizing, analyzing and addressing timing violations and testability compliance to ensure a robust design.
Additional responsibilities include interfacing with cross-functional and cross-geo teams focused on system architecture, firmware development, silicon validation, production, RF and Analog development. The candidate must be able to work independently and also have the ability to provide guidance on major technical topics. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
The candidate should possess atleast a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
The person should be well versed in ASIC/SoC microarchitecture, logic design, testability, simulation and debug.
5+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC development preferably in the wireless segment.
5+ years of experience with Verilog or VHDL coding, familiarity with design and verification tools.
Experience with FPGA development, low power RTL design techniques, verification using Specman/C/assembly.
Experience with SW or FW development.
Experience with Silicon bring-up and validation.
Experience in one or more of MAC layer design, PHY and DSP design, Power management, other wireless protocols.
Experience with Synthesis, Static Timing Analysis, Mixed Signal Simulation.
