Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior scientist/engineer with a focus in the area of systems and optical engineering. The candidate will be working in a hardware R&D group that is developing the next generation optical CD and film measurement hardware for the semiconductor industry. The candidate will be required to participate in optical design assessments, sensitivity analyses, modeling and simulation of optical systems including diffraction, spot size, and validation of hardware designs and troubleshooting, analysis of results and develop methods and techniques to improve the performance of the hardware to meet customer requirements. The job responsibilities will include both experimental and analytical/modeling activities. The candidate may be required to travel to customer sites occasionally to support Beta tools or to address specific issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate should have doctoral degree in physics/applied sciences/ materials sciences with at least 5-10 years of experience. Experience in the semiconductor industry and in other film/CD measurements would be a plus. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should be familiar with analytical tools such as Matlab, Mathematica. Prior knowledge of Zemax or other optical design programs would be considered a plus. Prior experience in polarization measuring instruments, reflectometers, ellipsometers, interferometers etc would be considered a definite plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience. OR Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience.
