Responsible to follow hospital and AAMI standards and policies as related to cleaning, decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment performed in the Central Sterile Supply Department. Participates in Performance Improvement projects. Assumes weekends, on-call, holidays and shift responsibilities as assigned. Maintains education through attendance of all mandatory inservices and self-study. Maintains education through unit inservices. Attends/reads staff meetings/minutes.
Qualifications
Licensure: Certification desirable but not required.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Experience: Previous Central Sterile experience preferred but not necessary.
Special Qualifications: Knowledge, skills, abilites and/or other attributes: Good Oragnizational Skills.
