DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
Deliver consistent positive financial results through efficient store management execution.
Drive sales by identifying and acting upon local store opportunities and establishing a community presence.
Full Profit and Loss responsibility for the store, with particular attention given to controllable expenses, sales plan and inventory management.
Select, train and develop managers by teaching them to interview, orient and develop talent to drive sales, control expenses and achieve goals.
Coach and counsel direct reports on performance issues, taking appropriate corrective action in partnership with the Director of Retail Operations and following operational and human resource guidelines to recognize and anticipate issues.
Prepare and deliver performance reviews, create learning plans and build bench strength for succession planning.
Identify and develop growth potential of individual staff members.
Ensure protection of all company assets, controlling internal and external loss.
Consistently uphold a high level of cleanliness throughout the store and stockroom.
Comply with all Retail Store Operations Procedures.
Be the driving force behind store sales by setting the example for extraordinary client service and product knowledge.
Develop and motivate associates through goal setting, performance reviews, individual and storewide meetings using the monthly touch base in order to minimize turnover and enhance bench strength.
Execute events per company directives to grow the client base and build loyalty.
Ensure the highest level of client service by assisting sales associates with various client issues including client concerns, returns, and special orders by empowering them to handle these issues with professionalism and confidence.
Continuously look for contact opportunities in developing the client database through individual interests, shopping habits and life events.
Create schedules to ensure appropriate store coverage and to maximize sales.
Maintain relationships with members of the corporate office, shopping center office and other stores.
Complete all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
Provide monthly business reports as requested by the corporate office.
Ensure maintenance of inventory accuracy through delivery receipts and product sell through.
Execute merchandising plans to standard and provide options for product sell through.
Constantly recruit sales associates with qualifications that meet company standards to build a talent pool.
Carry out company practices while adhering to proper procedure regarding disciplinary action.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Four to Five years of retail experience, with at least two years of management experience.
Solid business acumen and analytical skills and can confidently analyze and speak to the store’s business.
Excellent visual merchandising skills, knowledgeable of our merchandise and confident making visual decisions based on our clients’ buying patterns.
Proven leadership skills and strong personal presence.
Demonstrated success in recruiting, training, revenue generation, and operations.
Excellent communication, delegation, follow-up, and time-management skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and direct activities at all levels.
Some travel may be required.
Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Associates degree or equivalent in work experience.
