Responsible for tactical application of account strategy across various agency sites and/or divisions with documentation through Strategic Account Business Plan for assignment. Responsible for thorough needs analysis at the agency level to completely understand customer’s business, including funding, key contracts, programs, and divisions. Dedicated to specific customers that require strategic coverage to coordinate national contracts, programs, and projects. Develop creative solutions, present proposals, and successfully respond to RFI/RFQ/RFP opportunities. Ability to communicate Graybar’s value added solutions to end users and to potential teaming partners. Team player: Train Districts, Branches and Field Account Managers, as required on local account needs. Develop and maintain key relationships at multiple layers with customers, suppliers and associated field contacts. Achieve sales and gross margin goals that are established for each customer. Meet operational targets and objectives including managing T&E budget. Complete all assigned training courses and seek additional knowledge in order to continually improve performance. Perform other duties, as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.

Experience : Five or more years of progressively responsible sales, marketing, and/or operating experience in the Government market. Previous Sales experience or Government background required. Must understand DOD and Civilian Agencies direct sales opportunities and related indirect sales process through Federal Contractors/Integrators. Teaming with small business/diversity companies to capture set-aside business opportunities.

Knowledge : Thorough knowledge of Graybar’s sales, marketing, and operating processes; or demonstrated understanding of the customer/marketplace, MRO sales, purchasing, and/or facility management. Great communication skills; and experience in making effective and clear presentations. Possess the highest levels of ethics as related to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Location: Washington DC Metro Area preferred. Will consider other locations with easy access to major airport based on experience.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE : 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

Travel, as needed, for various meetings and activities
