Phonathon Callers contact thousands of alumni, parents and friends each year to ask for their financial support of Stevenson University. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate must have a deep and genuine affinity for Stevenson University.
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at Stevenson University.
Right candidate must be able to think quickly and answer a variety of questions posed by alumni, parents and friends of the university from the provided education and promotional material on Stevenson's history and current operations. Ability to relate to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences Excellent oral communication and organizational skills High level of integrity Ability to use sensitive data responsibly Ability to maintain confidentiality Affinity for Stevenson University Ability to ask SU alumni, parents and friends for money Understanding of Datatel and/or Wilson-Bennett Technology INC Campus Connection a plus, training will be provided.
Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Fingering, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
Serve as an ambassador of Stevenson University by effectively communicating our mission to University alumni, parents and friends. Call constituents (alumni, parents, faculty/staff and friends) to renew and increase their gifts to the Annual Fund. Be willing to learn the University's organizational structure and its annual financial needs. Work with other callers in a team oriented environment to complete semester and annual goals. Accurately enter gifts and pledges received into Campus Connection tracking system. Handle sensitive data with utmost care and confidentiality Commit to 6 to 9 hours (2 - 3 shifts) per week. 6 weeks of calling in the fall and 4 weeks of calling in the spring. Calling takes place from 6:30 to 9 pm, Monday through Thursday and 3 to 6 pm on Sundays.
