This position is grant funded and continued employment is contingent upon availability of funds. Generally an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm work week. Requires some evening and weekend work. Some travel required.

Assists and motivates students in the Educational Talent Search program to prepare for and apply to post secondary education.
Conducts individual and group meetings with participants. Responsible for providing information on life skills, college admission, financial aid opportunities, careers and post secondary education to ETS students and parents at Bowie and Jefferson High Schools and Guillen and Henderson Middle Schools. Assists with workshops relevant to student success. Keeps individual records of student services and eligibility, tracks grades, and maintains a database of student records and services. Monitors tutoring programs. Serves as a chaperone for scheduled field trips.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree; two to three years experience working with youth or college students in a advisory, administrative or educational capacity. Must possess excellent organizational skills. Must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and must be insurable as defined in the UT System BPM 16-05-02.
