The Campus Recreation department provides opportunities for USF students, faculty and staff to participate in a wide variety of recreational pursuits. Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs. The department has 27 full time employees and 400+ part time employees. The budget for Campus Recreation is just under $3 million and the Campus Recreation Center alone has over 1,000,000 visitors per year. This position will directly report to Assistant Director.

Position Duties:

Responsible for the coordination and development of a campus wide intramural sports program for the students, faculty and staff. Schedule, organize, promote and supervise a wide variety of intramural sports and special events (approximately 35) designed to meet varied skills and interests. Responsible to recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate two graduate assistants, and 18-20 student supervisors, and approximately 300 student officials. Contribute to the administration of the Campus Recreation department by establishing outcomes and assessment plans, managing budget, and scheduling of all facilities for Intramural Sports program.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
This position requires a Bachelor's degree, with at least one year of experience in a student/affairs/student personnel position. A Master's degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, or Sports Recreation Administration preferred. Work experience may not be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this position.

Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Master's degree in Higher Education, Recreation, Physical Education, Student Affairs or related field and two years of professional experience in collegiate recreation setting, specifically in program areas of Intramural Sports. Graduate Assistantships are acceptable for professional experience.
