Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain, the Subcontract Administrator will develop subcontract specifications, terms and conditions for the procurement of Aircraft materials, equipment, and services of moderate to high dollar value, risk, and complexity in an R&D and Production environment.

Specific responsibilities include:
·

Working directly with Engineering to assist with the development of specifications/SOWs. Regularly interfaces with colleagues of various disciplines, executive, and management to resolve complex issues.

Support new supplier surveys by working integrated program team to perform supplier selection in accordance with the overall business objectives. Some travel may be required.

·

Prepares complex RFP and RFQs, leads negotiations, analyzes and evaluates proposals, assists with cost/price analysis, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts.

·

Monitors subcontractor performance through the life of the contract. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts and provisions

·

Coordinate and participate in supplier meetings (PDR/CDR etc.) to ensure contractual compliance. Manage subcontract deliverables and milestone events schedules, assist with problem resolution and provide subcontract advice to program managers, engineering personnel, and senior management as required. Complete subcontract close-out activities as required.

Resolve payment and receiving issues with Finance, Material, and quality Control groups.

Qualifications

·

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related technical field of study

·

Minimum of 5 years major subcontract experience is required within moderate to high dollar annual procurement,

in an aerospace or aviation business unit

.

Must have systems experience such as avionics or electrical.

Experience in both R&D and Production environments a plus.

·

Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR regulatory compliance guidelines.

·

Strong attention to detail.

·

Solid negotiations and leadership skills.

·

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.

·

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

·

The ability to work independently with minimum supervision and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·

Strong interpersonal skills for building customer relationships with subcontractors and all levels of company personnel.

·

Ability to apply sound business judgment and strategic guidance to management in a deadline oriented environment.

·

Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

·

Cost and price analysis experience.

·

SAP experience preferred
