This position is for a Senior Analyst to support Joint Combat Development and Experimentation for the Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND).Work location is TBD and negotiable. JRO-CBRND is a Chairman's Controlled Activity (CCA), reporting to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) through the Director J-8 (JROC Memorandum 163-02, 9 September 2002). The JRO-CBRND is chartered to coordinate and integrate requirements for all Department of Defense (DoD) CBRN Defense programs, and acts as the CJCS focal point for all CBRN Defense issues. Under the direction of the JRO-CBRND, the Joint Combat Development and Experimentation (JCDE)-CBRND coordinates and oversees execution of Joint and Multi-Service experiments to validate Joint concepts for CBRN Defense. The purpose of joint experimentation is to facilitate transformation, advance knowledge, and steer future CBRN Defense activities. By U.S. Army designation and a Memorandum of Agreement, the JCDE-CBRND is the Commandant of the US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School (USACBRNS) supported by the School's Joint Experimentation and Analysis Division (JEAD).
A Senior Analyst transmits the intellectual content of scientific, technological, or other specialized information. The specialist performs a variety of functions. Duties include all aspects of organizing, planning, and executing DOD and Interagency exercises. Also included are duties and responsibilities involved in the direction, administration, or coordination of technical information services to include webmaster capability, technical illustrations and graphical productions. The Senior Analyst must demonstrate subject matter expertise in support of the planning and execution of joint CBRN defense training at the combatant commands, component commands and joint task forces.
Bachelors Degree in a related discipline. A Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in a discipline applicable to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of practical experience in DOD and US Government Interagency exercises, particularly the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Exercise Program, Combatant Commanders Exercises, and the National Exercise Program is desired. A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university, and fifteen (15) or more years of qualifying experience can be substituted for a Master's degree and ten (10) years of experience.
