We†re looking for a Subscriber Products Editor for the Subscriber Products site. Position Summary and Primary ResponsibilitiesSupervises a diverse staff of specialists and producers, balancing page views/online traffic and journalistic goals and executing the strategic vision for The editor†s supervisory duties are divided into two primary areas: news gathering and Web production.JOB DUTIES: •100% Leads subscriber products team: defines scope, prioritizes the work, sets expectations and measures results for staff of Manages staff and defines digital culture within the team.

Goes to bat for, initiatives and individuals. Ensures that is healthy and sensible. Focused on the paid digital strategy for the newsroom and the successful launch of Focused on the needs of our subscribers/paying customer.JOB TASKS: •Is the glue that brings print and online; understands how to bring print sensibilities to the paid website through content and products.•Builds mission around defining premium content.

Has a deep understanding of our business goals from both journalism and revenue standpoints.•Interacts closely with Beat Dept. and Enterprise leaders; responsible for the execution of all plans, daily and long-term and must think digital first as it relates to premium content at all times. Then works closely with staff on execution.•Works closely with digital projects specialist on paid site expectations.•Also works closely with the editor to make sure the two sites meet their missions in a parallel track. Works closely with editor on how premium content is displayed and promoted on the free site.•Oversees staff level execution of PM edition and day-parting strategy, if needed.•Works closely with audience group, monitors audience metrics for both paid and free.•Works with audience group on implementation of third-party vendor partnerships.•With lead, facilitates collaboration on paid site content between WSB and AJC.•Develops and provides editorial support for paid site initiatives involving audience, advertising and marketing.•Identifies new trends and tools that would create enhanced site engagement, especially as it relates to content.•Monitors the paid site for SEO best practices and facilitates newsroom training on SEO, as needed.

Experience: Bachelor†s degree in journalism or a related field preferred. Five or more years of newsroom or digital-based/technology company experience required. Supervisory experience managing five or more employees required.Salary: Grade 12: $80,518 - $128,218Application deadline: 5 p.m. on January 7, 2013.
