The Contra Costa County Office of Education provides a full range of services designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities throughout the county. Students, ranging in age from birth to age 22, include Severely Multiply Handicapped, Severely Handicapped, and Emotionally Disturbed.
Substitute Teachers, with the support of Instructional Assistants, implement a comprehensive learning plan, including a highly structured behavior management system, while assisting the students with self-help, vocational, and academic skills, as necessary, when regular Teachers are absent.
