Internship with Undersea Technology
assessment Group Responsibilities:

Conduct GCAM programming to simulate submarine operations. Employ computer programming and operations research analysis in the area of undersea warfare. Participate in a project team conducting research to support relevant analysis, synthesize gathered information, develop logical conclusions and prepare reports of analysis conducted.


Pursing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research or Engineering with a strong emphasis on computer programming and/or software development. Ability to work well within a team and with little supervision and have a 3.0/4.0 overall GPA Previous SPA intern experience in the use of GCAM is specifically desired, however, equivalent experience in the development and use of modeling and simulation tools will be considered. A passion for applying qualitative analytical methods to solve national security problems and excellent written and oral communications skills is required. Must possess the ability and willingness to multi-task, and be capable of applying innovative analysis to solve client problems. Must be a self-starter with the capacity to work independently and to participate in multifunctional teams. Must possess the ability to explain modeling methodologies and results in everyday language and to translate results into useable output products.
