An employee in this class develops, supervises, and instructs a summer recreation dance program.
Develops, supervises and instructs programs for various recreational specialty areas such as music and dance. Plans and participates in publicizing the program and in stimulating participation. Conducts constant evaluation of programs, staff and community involvement. Leads and schedules subordinate workers. Performs related work as required.
Must be able to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends. Must occasionally perform difficult physical labor such as climbing, bending, kneeling and performing repetitive movements. Must lift supplies or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds as needed.
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED and a minimum of one year of formal participation or instructional experience in dance. The examination will consist of an evaluation of the applicant's experience in dance and their general recreation background. Possession of a valid State of Ohio driver's license.

DRIVER’S LICENSE: An applicant having a valid driver's license from another state will be accepted conditionally provided that, if selected, an Ohio Driver's License must be obtained prior to appointment. Candidates having six or more points on their driving record at the time of appointment will be disqualified from further consideration.
