Superintendent/Contractor Development Coordinator

  • Works with field foremen to ensure all policies and procedures are followed
  • Support field personnel to develop a professional, knowledgeable, and safety-conscience organization
  • Oversee the execution of projects to ensure all Flexpipe standards and customer expectations are met
  • Encourage and support communication and teamwork between product development, sales, clients, and operations

  • Ensure and adhere to all ShawCor and client HSE requirements
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees and the public while protecting the environment in which we work in
  • Implementing and monitoring company field safety program; ensure HSE is an integral part of company culture and field foremen are following all policies and procedures

  • Review sales orders for major projects to ensure all materials, rental equipment, consumables and labor requirements are met.
  • Assist with quoting and customer communication as required
  • Work with clients and contractors to optimize installations
  • Work with project coordinator to schedule and organize resources
  • Review all major field tickets with administrators to ensure accuracy in invoicing
  • Assist in resolving field issues or failures in coordination with the Project Coordination and Engineering groups


  • Provide bid support and technical assistance to project managers
  • Assist Project Coordinators with deployment of Field Foreman
  • Provide Operations/Sales with job summaries and feedback of client expectations
  • Provide training for each Field Foreman to ensure all standards are adhered to through a training checklist

  • Provide pre-job and onsite supervision of installations; ensure all Flexpipe Installation Procedures are followed
  • Responsible for training contractors and clients per Flexpipe Contractor Training Program
  • Develop relationships with key contractors to enhance relationship between Flexpipe and support companies
  • Provide clear planning and reports regarding strategy and outcome of contractor contact; introduce ideas and strategies required to obtain the necessary tools to enhance training, understanding, and acceptance of Flexpipe

Required Qualifications and Competencies for the Position:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail) will be required
  • Valid driver license with clean record
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively
  • Excellent team building, leadership, and communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial personality and a basic knowledge of small business
  • Strong work ethic with high personal standards for performance
  • Creativity and can-do attitude
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot as needed
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, experience with pipelining, familiar with hydraulics and knowledge of oil & gas industry
  • Spoolable composite pipe experience preferred
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Oil & gas pipeline experience an asset
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail) will be required
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively
  • Relevant field experience, in pipeline industry: design, installation, inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, training and supervision of personnel to handle, install, and inspect proprietary technology
