This position is located in Serra Mesa.
8-hour shift; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, weekends as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years leadership and management experience
- Previous experience in a health care setting
- Previous billing and invoice experience
- Previous telecommunication experience preferred
- Ability to coach and counsel; Hire and terminate
- Ability to work with outside vendors; understand budget preparation and process
- Excellent customer service skills
This position provides 24 hour/7 days a week supervision; facilitates and coordinates conference room scheduling and equipment needed, phones and pagers; just time personnel coaching/counseling, and customer complaints assuring quality interactions and outcomes; management of PBX, Death certificate operations and coordination of resources available to staff. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and educational activity for quality outcomes in all areas.
The department consists of 14 PBX operator, 2 Decedent Affairs Coordinators, and working equipment for all conference rooms. This position will work with all departments in the facility that use phone (desk and cell loans), ensure the department follows all processes/guidelines/procedures for emergency situation, on call schedules for department’s days and off hours and physician's call schedules. This Department may be the first contact to the hospital- it must be warm and accepting.

Able to sit 3-5 hours per day, listen and speak clearly on the phone, able to walk/climb stairs, lift up to 30 pounds, and recognize various colors.
